My cover model

After taking everything I have learnt from my research into cover models, I have decided on a cover model for my own magazine cover.

I believe she would make a successful rock/alternative cover model as she has the dark hair that I have found quite typical of rock magazines, suggesting that a darker haired model may be more suited to a rock/alternative cover in comparison to a model with lighter hair, as darker hair is more closely connotated to the rock genre, and I believe this would appeal to a target audience.

She also has quite striking blue eyes, which I believe is a good feature for a cover model, as she will instantly stand out and attract the audience with the eye-contact, forming a relationship with the consumer. I will ensure I utilize this characteristic of my model by ensuring I use eye-contact, possibly even experimenting with the idea of a close-up image for my cover in order to accentuate this feature.

Furthermore, I believe that she is quite attractive, which will further help appeal to the male audience for my magazine as the physical attraction will be there, however she isn't 'too sexy' a model to put off my female audience.
